At Surgical Art we believe that local flap reconstructions are some of the most elegant operations performed. Nevertheless this can be a daunting operation for the trainee surgeon. At Surgical-Art we believe that the focus of free flap surgery training so far has been micro-surgical skills. Pedicle dissection and tissue handling when raising a pedicle, be it free flap or a pedicle flap is a crucial skill, and one that has a significant role in the success of this operation. In the Microsurgery & Pedicle Dissection Course we give equal importance to these two skills. The Pedicle Dissection component is unique to Surgical-Art. It comprises of basic and advanced tissue handling skills to identify, preserve and dissect the neuro-vascular pedicle of a flap. 10th & 11th Mar 2018 REGISTER INTEREST

Really good course to get the basic concept of flap & graft, especially at early stages of training. Coming to this course with no idea how a flap is designed this has defnitely improved my knowledge!
Excellent course. Enthusiastic tutors, friendly atmosphere.
I thought this was a wonderful course! So much information delivered at a reasonable rate. The Tutor to Student ratio was ideal. Overall a very inspiring 2 days delivered by enthusiastic and patient faculty - very inspiring for someone so junior. Thank you! Also - the models and materials were innovative and fantastic.
Essential course for my level (SHO) with limited experience in all flaps & grafts. Great place to ask questions, make mistakes and learn directly from seniors/consultants because I don't get this opportunity at work.
Fantastic. Very happy I came. Would recommend highly.
Excellent Course. Great pace. Stunning work environment made working/studying on a weekend painfree. Good staff to student ratio. Excellent hands on experience.
Very beneficial and will impact on my practice going forward.
Very good pace and excellent introduction to hand fractures. Considering I had no experience at all prior to the course, I am confident going back to my hospital.
Eye opening & mind blowing!
Excellent Course, Excellent Faculty, Great location. Thank you! The facial models, ear models and use of chicken complemented each other well.
Excellent for all levels of trainee because after each demonstration personal revision of the topic allowed.
Excellent course - learning taught went beyond (my) expectation. Thoroughly enjoyable, great faculty - approachable, friendly & keen to teach. I would recommend this to all plastics/max fax trainees.
Good overall assessment, mainly due to friendly and helpful tutors. Extremely useful for CT1 level and an opportunity to dive beyond basic principles for higher levels (up to ST3).
Thoroughly enjoyed the course. There was plenty of freedom to focus on my own learning needs.
Excellent Faculty & equipment in a relaxed, friendly Environment
I will recommend highly. I have not been to another course where I felt so comfortable and treated like a colleague and not just a delegate. Thank you!
Good candidate to instructor ratio. Well organised, enjoyable and relaxed environment. Really liked the studio. Much better than the hospital.
Excellent Course for Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery trainees. Good discussion around inter-disciplinary concepts. Friendly faculty.
I just wanted to say what an excellent course, one of the best I have ever been to. Thank you so much!
Excellent. Great course, good value for money. Very good faculty who were very friendly, helpful and approachable.
Very, very good! Actually Excellent! For the course fee, I was a bit sceptical but I think the instruments have been good and general essential principles have been presented well.

Very diffferent, new insight. Has identified things not picked up on me before.
Really useful and touched on areas never addressed nor tutored before.
Very innovative. I think this will improve my chances of passing the FRCS.
Great confidence builder. Thanks for a great course - new concept & just what I was after, perhaps (probably) much more than every other course I've been on. Unique and filling a much needed niche.
It was a brilliant course with lots of fun and interaction. It has gone beyond expectations & I'd like to say that this day will help in everyday communication with patients as well.
Excellent. A real insight in to the key drawings to use to your advantage in the the FRCS(Plast) and the most effective way to draw them.
Surgical-Art has now become my first preference for surgical courses. Professional and friendly tutors, modern facilities with the same kit used as where I work, great atmosphere & quality food. Overall great attention to detail from an innovative group.

Really useful for CT2 level, gentle introduction to new concepts. V useful to do WBAs. Good to see one then get the chance to do one!
Excellent, really useful & worthwhile.
Great Course. Adequate time to learn drawings in detail, careful explanation & time for questions etc. Well organised.
Excellent course, will increase chances to pass!
I was very scared to do it, however I felt more confident by the end of the day. I've become more confident to do structured study & more practice on viva and clinical. It gave me a nice way of organising my answers, especially the "mind mapping" techniques.
Very good for international Medical Graduates
Overall very good. Vivas and clinicals great, body language and breathing exercises useful.
Excellent. Very lucky to have one to one mentoring throughout the day. Susie is a very encouraging mentor and provides constructive feedback.
Very useful. Well structured and plenty of constructive feedback.
Excellent Course! Great help to pass the exam.
I was very pleased with all the course parts, it has brought a lot of experience for my future career. The teachers were patient and explained where I was doing good things and where I was lacking.
Excellent kit availability throughout. Great teaching model, very interactive. Much better than other courses - takes you through stages of fixation from more simple techniques to more complex constructs.
Excellent Course - very well organised. Lots of practice which is exactly whats needed. I really enjoyed it. Thanks alot!
